The Mystery Behind the Preference of Tablets vs Smartphones !!!




Which one is preferable in the customer's decision process ?


Technology has been widely discussed around the world and new gadgets has been inserted in the market in ways to attract new customers.


The run for winning the preference in this marketing has led many companies to perform different strategies to restate their messages on the customer's mind and gain their loyalty. Many companies are busting their revenues by communicating to its customers how accessibility and convenience could be an important tool in their daily basis.

The mobile phones was primarily assigned solely to perform calls, however, the new reality indicates that people are using this device as a way to centralize everything in a unique product. On the other hand, tablets are also increasing its popularity in relation to computers and notebooks.




Based on this chart, tablets are mostly used in the living room and are often openly shared with spouses, partners, or children, while smartphones are used more personally within the home and also on the go. 


Even though both devices shared similar activities, the type of experiences for each is still absolutely different. From a visual perspective, a tablet has bigger appeal screens which are more comfortable for people to do readings, movies and browsing through the webs. On the other hand, smartphone has a higher advantage in its portability as much as functionality; which is why tablets are also trying to become more portable than ever, but they cannot replace smart phones since they can be easily grabbed out from pockets.

In the Husson's report, he highlighted the overlap between both devices which indicated that both are mostly used at home; as it depends on the type of contend that users are looking for. Both devices have their own uniqueness that can’t be replaced by one another.

Which one would you be willing to buy? 

There's no right or wrong answers, however, it will depend on the perception of value that the user  wants.

People are spending more time on devices than ever before. 

Users are making higher expectations for brands to meet, due to the fact that everyone is becoming to access content significantly more on devices. Smartphones and Tablets are the two largest factors that are influencing in the lives of people today. People access to these devices at least once a day.
